TRAI cuts mobile number portability fee to Rs 4 from Rs 19

,

New Delhi: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on Wednesday slashed the charges of mobile number portability by around 79 per cent to a maximum Rs 4 from earlier prescribed rate of Rs 19.
This would mean that the subscribers cannot be charged more than Rs 4 for their network port out requests by the operator. But the recipient operators (from where the number is to be shifted) are ‘free to charge’ a lesser amount from them for mobile number portability (MNP), the regulator said.
Under the MNP regime, a subscriber can retain the existing mobile telephone number while switching from one service provider to another or from one technology to another technology of the same service provider. It allows subscribers to retain their mobile number not only within the same licensed service area (LSA) but also pan India in any LSA.“
It is decided that the per port transaction charge may be reduced as the costs of operations of Mobile Number Portability Service Providers (MNPSPs) have substantially gone down and the volume of MNP traffic has increased,” it said.

These 5 mistakes do not do while bathing

Bathing is very important for our health and beauty. For a good health we need to take a bath everyday. But sometimes we make some mistakes when bathing that causes harm to our hair and skin.
All women love long and strong hair. But tell us that everyday shampoos make our hair rusty and the shampoo chemicals available in the market are full of them, our hair becomes stale and lifeless.
If you take a bath at the sunrise here before sunrise then it is considered very auspicious
Most people like to take a bath with warm water in winter but let us know that bathing with hot water turns our skin to become lethargic and it also has a bad effect on our hair.
All baths use soap while bathing, but the use of soap leads to moisture in our skin and becomes lifeless. People whose skin is oily should not use soap at all.

How often should you shampoo your hair? Find out here

There’s one nugget of grooming mythology that I abide by, even though it isn’t scientifically proven. It’s the answer to the perennial question: How often should you shampoo? When we wash our scalps less, the theory goes, we actually train it to produce less oil. As in, the body understands that there is an equilibrium of oil that can be reached, and it will work to reach this point faster if we continually clear the slate. So, more washing means more oil, and less washing means less oil.
“If you shampoo every day, it will strip your scalp of all its natural oils and can lead to dry, brittle hair,” says Julien Farel of the Julien Farel Restore Salon & Spa in NYC.
Farel hasn’t found scientific evidence to support this phenomenon, but that he has noticed his own clients become far less greasy when they shampoo less. And there’s no better anecdotal wisdom than that of someone dealing in hair every day.
It’s in good form to shower daily—to scrub down all your sweaty, stinky parts and to deep clean the pores on your face. And instinctively, after using both soap and cleanser, you probably reach for the shampoo next. That’s because logically you want to wash your hair just as you did the rest of your body.
Not so fast. Different body parts have different rules. Pretty much everything below the neck can stay healthy and clean on a once-a-day routine. The face needs to be washed both morning and night. As for the hair and scalp? It’s not the same for everyone, but you probably only need to do it 2-3 times per week. That’s because shampoo can do as much bad as it does good.
The scalp produces far more sebum—the natural oils that Farel mentioned—than the rest of the body. These oils are then distributed to each hair, keeping it all healthy and soft. You can typically rid of the excess sebum and product with a simple rinse, says Farel. This flushes away most of the excess, and lets your hair absorb the nourishing benefits of this sebum production. As for a suggested regimen, Farel says to switch to an every-other-day or every-third day shampoo, if you can.
“Only those with an oily scalp should wash every day,” Farel notes. Not sure if you’re “oily”? It should be obvious: Your hair would look like Don Draper’s by 5 o’clock, but not because you’re wearing any pomade. You could scratch your scalp and pull away a film of sebum. Your face is probably oilier than most, too, and flash photography is your personal nightmare. Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
And Farel doesn’t want to hear your “but I work out and get sweaty every day” excuses, either. He says that a simple rinse is still fine for this. Plus, the salt from your sweat can give your hair some nice texture—like when you take a dip in the ocean and have “surfer’s hair” after the fact. So give it a rinse, apply your hair product, and enjoy your good hair day.
When you do use shampoo, look for ones that include scalp-friendly ingredients. People often think they’re just washing the hair, but really it’s as much a skincare regimen (for the scalp) as it as a hair care one. An anti-dandruff shampoo is an obvious place to start, but look instead for ingredients like tea tree oil, too: It stimulates circulation in the scalp, thus it fortifies follicles, promotes growth, and fights hair loss while the shampoo itself rinses away excess build-up. One we like is Dr. Squatch’s Moisturizing Shampoo with Tea Tree Oil.
One thing you should use daily, however, is conditioner. (We love Rudy’s Conditioner.) It re-hydrates the hair and replenishes lost nutrients. (Whereas shampoo strips moisture and nutrients.) Farel says conditioner is doubly important if you are growing your hair out. Ditto if you’re blow-drying it every day. One exception to the daily use is guys with oily scalps. In the same way they need to shampoo every day due to egregious amounts of sebum, this increased oil production also acts as a daily conditioner. This makes them less likely to ever have parched hair.
Our suggested regimen is as follows: Shampoo every third day, and use conditioner every day. The conditioner will help rinse away the grime on the non-shampoo days, and again, it will re-hydrate the hair following a shampoo.
Then, on the second morning after a shampoo, if you’re feeling a little oily, just zap your rinsed, air-dried hair with some dry shampoo, like R+Co’s Death Valley Dry Shampoo, which will absorb excess oils and restore any lost volume and texture to the hair. We advise this instead of sooner shampooing since the hair is noticeably more difficult to style after a wash, when it is void of any natural oils. Dry shampoo won’t absorb all the oils—only those in excess.

Total lunar eclipse, blue moon, supermoon all at the same time.

Mumbai, Jan 30 (UNI) Coming once in decades, moon, supermoon and total lunar eclipse will all be rolled up on Wednesday.

The last time this phenomenon occurred in 1982 and according to researchers, the next won't occur till 2037.

Lunar eclipses are not uncommon, but the coincidence of Wednesday's blood moon with other astronomical events is what makes this event special First, because it is a 'blue moon' - that means it is the second full moon to occur in a month, a researcher said.

The total lunar eclipse will be visible everywhere in India from 1720 hrs tomorrow.

The main eclipse (all three phenomena together) would start around 1825 hrs after sunset and this can be seen in the eastern sky as the moon would have just risen by then. It would be over in an hour's time by 1925 hrs.

Researchers point that Indian superstitious beliefs like not eating anything during a total lunar eclipse, have no scientific basis whatsoever.

Supermoon, means that it will be closer to the Earth than usual, but the difference in size is hardly noticeable.

A total lunar eclipse is when earth comes exactly between the sun and the moon and the earth's shadow falls on the moon.

During a total lunar eclipse, some of the sun's rays get refracted through the earth's atmosphere and strike the moon, which thereby takes on a low brown red glow. Therefore, it alternatively also referred to as blood moon.

The moon will be closest to Earth on Tuesday, 2,23,000 kms as compared to average 3,59,000.

'A slight sliver of the moon first gets covered in what is called the umbra, the total shadow, and slowly spreads for several minutes before receding," a release from BM Birla Science Centre explained the occurrence.

Dwayne Bravo of  Knight Riders.
Returning after serving a 2-year ban, Chennai Super Kings looked to start anew in the dawn of another decade of the IPL. As expected, the franchise retained the services of three Indians prior to the auctions- MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, and Ravindra Jadeja. To this, they added their talismanic all-rounder Dwayne Bravo by using the RTM.
Bravo turned out for CSK between 2011 and 2015, scoring 706 runs and taking 79 wickets. The CSK emerged as one of the most successful franchises in the opening decade by winning the IPL twice, finishing runners-up on four occasions and qualifying for the Playoffs in all eight seasons between 2008 and 2015.
West Indian all-rounder Dwayne Bravo also expressed his happiness after getting retained by Chennai Super Kings at Rs 6.40 crore during IPL player auction in Bengaluru last weekend. According to news outlet Mykhel, the all-rounder was quoted saying, “I’m happy, blessed and honoured to be retained by theChennai Super Kings.”
He added, “Personally, it is the best franchise that I have ever played for and I’m looking forward to it and meeting up with our captain MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, (Ravindra) Jadeja and also to the newcomers who are now going to be new members of our family.”

CSK have shaped up a lethal team for the upcoming season

The Lions pieced together their core set of players and then picked a heady mix of experience and youth to return with a 25-man squad bristling with talent. The squad comprises eight batsmen, seven all-rounders, and 10 bowlers.
Towering South Africa pacer Lungi Ngidi, who decimated India in the recent Test series will be making his IPL debut in the CSK jersey this year. Proteas skipper Faf Du Plessis will also once again don the yellow outfit after the franchise used the Right to Match card on him. KXIP bought him for Rs 1.6 Cr but CSK trumped them by using their RTM card.
After an intense battle between DD, CSK and RCB, all-rounder Shane Watson finally joins the ranks of Chennai Super Kings for Rs 4 Cr. Watson will strengthen the middle order and provide stability to Dhoni’s team with more than 100 IPL appearances under his belt.

A STUDENT FROM ARUNACHAL PRADESH DEVELOPED GOOGLE FOR BLIND (G4B)

Anang Tadar, a student of class 11 from Arunachal Pradesh of Papumpare district has developed a device named G4B (Google For Blind) which will help the Blind people to detect the nearby object without any physical contacts using the principle of Echolocation as same as that used by Bats at night to find their prey. The device has a microcontroller that uses two ultrasound sensors and an infrared sensor to detect an object in the surrounding by giving a vibration feedback. The two ultrasound sensors detect the Echo and send the vibration alert through coin vibration motor fitted on the two temples of the google. He is now thinking to upgrade the device by replacing the ultrasound sensors with Laser range finder and adding GPS chip. According to him, GPS chip will give audible feedback when the button is pressed to help the visually impaired know their position and which direction they have to move to reach their destination.

He was honored with the Dinanath Pandey Smart Idea Award during the innovation festival organized by Regional Science Centre, National Council of Science Museums under the union ministry of culture. He also participated in National Level Science Exhibition at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi, on March 6 where Honey Bee Network, which is in collaboration with NIF, Society for Research and Initiatives for Sustainable Technologies and Institutions (SRISTI), Global Youth Action Network (GYAN) and UNICEF were quite impressed with his innovation and are willing to launch G4B in the market and had asked Anang for creating few prototypes to test on the blind people. Appreciating the brilliant innovation that is intended to make the life of visually impaired people easy, the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh offered full financial support to him to develop the gadget. His innovation will surely help the visually impaired person in the way they move around.
